Dynamics RFID

Dynamics RFID is a new functionality which makes it possible to set up a supply chain within Dynamics AX which is based entirely on radio tags. Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) is a technology which allows information to be stored and read remotely to and from RFID tags on or in objects. RFID provides a clear overview of stocks and increased control of the supply chain.

Dynamics RFID is based on Microsoft's standard BizTalk RFID solution.

Our Dynamics RFID solution on the basis of BizTalk has the following three tasks:

1.   BizTalk RFID allows RFID readers to be controlled in the same manner as all other peripherals under Windows as it enables the automatic recognition of RFID devices.

2.   Processes to be carried out at the point in time an event occurs can be defined in BizTalk RFID in an easy, flexible way. An event can, for example, be a pallet of goods going through a portal in the warehouse. The RFID readers will then be activated for a certain length of time allowing the tags on the goods to be read. Subsequently, for example, the Dynamics AX database can be checked to see whether these tags are known and were expected.

3.   Actions can be carried out in Dynamics AX occasioned by an event. Think, for example, of creating a receipt entry in Dynamics AX for the pallet of goods received. To enable this, Dalosy has created a web service. This makes it possible for a BizTalk process to interact with the Business Logic of Dynamics AX. This enables receipt entries to be automatically created from BizTalk. By using the standard Business Logic of Dynamics AX you can be certain the receipt entry will be generated in the correct, validated manner.

Our Dynamics RFID solution enables very strong, efficient processes to be created which allow RFID to be seamlessly integrated into Dynamics AX.
