Bijenkorf implements real-time Shop Floor Logistics

Starting in January 2009, all sites of De Bijenkorf, a large and well-known Dutch chain of department stores, will execute the logistic processes on the shop floor with Motorola equipment. For this comprehensive operation, Bijenkorf gave Dalosy the order to install and implement a Wireless LAN’s in each store and to deliver new mobile computers for use on the shop floor. Dalosy implemented the latest and most modern wireless infrastructure based on the Motorola RFS7000 wireless switch. For the mobile computers, the choice was made for the Motorola MC3090, a model specifically designed for use in Retail environments.
